The Butterfly Who Lost Her Shine
As the time flies, her heart sank
Under the bring moonlight, where her grave stands
With white flowers around, and a ring to glance
Asked the moon why she showed melancholence
She replied with tears in her eyes,
I was the butterfly caught in his lies.
The spider so ravenous, with hunger so deep,
I fell for his charm and now I weep.
The spider spun her web of woe,
Inflicting pain with each cruel blow,
As colours bled from wings so bright,
The butterfly lost her will to fight.
-Tanvi
This poem is about a girl who was lied to and after her marriage she tortured and abused by her husband. And so she lost herself, her smile, her persona, her charisma, her everything. Until one day she could bear no more and she took her own life.
