There Is a Light That Never Goes Out
There is a light that never goes out
Oh will you take me out tonight, my love? Where there’s music and people outside but we’re
here in your car and I never want to go home. I haven’t got one anymore, and I want to see life
with you my love. Please don’t drop me home, because it’s not my home, it’s their home. I’m no
longer welcome no more, but you welcome me for more. So I write to you this, ‘If a
double-decker bus crashes into us, oh darling.. To die by your side, is such a heavenly way to
die’ But I don’t mind, take me anywhere, I don’t care. Till the darkened underpass, my chance
has come at last. But then a strange fear gripped me, and I apologized, I just couldn’t ask. You’re
the light of my life I wrote to you again, ‘If a ten ton truck kills the both of us, I say again this..
To die by your side, well, the pleasure, the privilege is mine’.
